Strengthening Accreditation and Professional Certifications

To ensure lasting international recognition and guarantee excellent training, HIDE, in partnership with the University of Tunis, is implementing an ambitious strategy for the accreditation and certification of engineering programs.

This approach builds on the experience gained from previous accreditations and relies on close collaboration with academic and industrial stakeholders.
Key pillars of this strategy include:
  • The creation of the QIAI core – Quality Insurance for Artificial Intelligence – which brings together quality assurance units, the 4C centers, and University institutions to harmonize and strengthen educational standards.
  • Active involvement of industry professionals in program development, participation in teaching, and presence on scientific, administrative, and quality assurance committees, supported by a strong network of socio-economic partners.
  • The gradual integration of distance learning, with part of the teaching hours delivered by the Distance Education Department (DEV) of the University of Tunis, facilitating accessibility and flexibility.
  • Adoption of a semester system structured around nine independent semesters, complemented by international pathways that promote academic and professional mobility for students.
Through these measures, HIDE aims to consolidate its role as a major player in artificial intelligence education, offering its graduates nationally and internationally recognized qualifications.

Regional Integration, Sustainable Development, and Social Responsibility

  • The creation of interdisciplinary synergies within the micro-campus, which brings together specialized institutions in medicine, biomedical sciences, engineering, economics, and management. This environment fosters innovative projects where artificial intelligence combines with various disciplines to generate solutions with significant societal impact.
  • Integration of sustainable development into training with dedicated modules on renewable energy, smart resource management, and sustainable energy networks, preparing students to design ecological solutions adapted to current challenges.
  • Concrete involvement of students in ecological initiatives such as optimizing waste management, promoting energy efficiency, and projects aimed at reducing the campus’s environmental footprint.
  • Promotion of the cultural heritage of Borj Zouara through site virtualization, awareness campaigns, and conservation activities integrated into the institute’s civic and academic projects.
